Scott Wilson felt very smart in May of 2011 when the startup he wrote for at the time offered to pay him 12 bitcoin in lieu of a regular paycheck, and he refused. Scott felt less smart a month later when the price-per-coin shot up to $25. And now? He's feels smart again, having learned a lesson.

Scott started at CoinFlip in 2021 as a technical writer, and now works as the senior digital content specialist. He uses his knowledge of cryptography and blockchain technology to write and edit branded content for all CoinFlip products, as well as informative blogs for the crypto community. He holds an MFA from Columbia College in Chicago and has years of experience in digital content creation for web3 and other tech topics.
