Jed Roffers is CoinFlip's first Law Enforcement Relations Director, and he came to the role from the other side of the table. In 2013 he became a Special Agent with the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation, later joining its Cyber Crimes Unit, where he specialized in cryptocurrency and blockchain cases — tracing illicit digital assets across blockchain networks, advising policymakers on virtual currency legislation, and building crypto training for investigators, police chiefs, sheriffs, and prosecutors.
He joined CoinFlip in January 2026 as the company's point of contact for law enforcement at the local, state, federal, and international levels. He tracks emerging fraud typologies — government impersonation, employment fraud, and romance scams among them — and writes about how people can recognize and avoid crypto scams.
